Donnie was hired from Detroit as the original afternoon guy at KYS.
He suffered through various programming decisions until his chance came along.
With two good ears for music and knowing what the public wanted, Donnie got
his chance at programming. He did something that no one thought could be done...
an FM station owned by NBC could actually make money.
Many say he took the station Urban but Donnie always claimed it was Dis-N-Dat.

he later move to mornings and put WKYS on the map.
